The vision behind sonus
Dr. Sophia Moon is a music educator, curriculum designer, and lifelong advocate for meaningful music education. With more than a decade of teaching experience spanning preschool through college, she has worked with students in classrooms, private lessons, homeschool settings, and online learning environments.
Drawing from her background in music education, homeschool instruction, and curriculum development, she founded Sonus Institute to create a different kind of music program—one that inspires a lifelong love of music while providing a complete, structured education.
Her passion for history, creativity, and beautiful learning experiences shapes every aspect of the Sonus curriculum. When she's not developing curriculum, Dr. Moon enjoys studying music history, exploring nature with her family, and discovering the stories behind the world's greatest music.
